Dave Banns and Sam Lawson with their bikes at Ride to Conquer Cancer

We Came. We Rode. We Conquered.

It was windy, it was rainy, it was muddy, but most importantly.. it was for a good cause. Over two weekends, June 16-17 & 23-24, 2012, our Vancouver and Edmonton teams each participated in the Enbridge Ride To Conquer Cancer.

It all began when Sam and Dave from the Vancouver branch started talking about participating in the BC Ride, and before we knew it there was a team of over 15 participating and everyone hit the fundraising trail on behalf of cancer research. Everything from bottle drives to Pub Nights helped get the money in. The skill level of the riders was from absolute beginner to experienced. We had trainers, spin classes, Saturday rides and some lost teeth!

Both the BC and Alberta rides were challenged with poor weather conditions, but our resilient riders battled the wind and rain for over 200km across the two days to raise funds for the BC and Alberta Cancer Foundations.

All their hard work has paid off and we are so proud of the enormous efforts that raised OVER $28,000!

Thank you to everyone who supported our riders and helped raise funds. A special thanks to the following businesses who donated prizes for our Silent Auctions:
